FluentCleaner is a new, unique perspective on what a modern cleaner for Windows 11 and earlier versions should look like. The trusted old CCleaner inspired the developer from the late 2000s, but he updated everything for the present day. The software is modest, elegant (thanks to WinUI 3), and designed exclusively to clear out the stuff you truly need. Anything can happen, and wonderful apps can fall apart once corporations purchase them and fill them with trash. So the author decided to design his own feasible alternative, which you may try out, and I will join you.

Surprisingly, the author was too indolent to create the scanning algorithms from scratch. He took the old winapp2.ini format, which had previously prompted the community to use CircCleaner, and created a fast parser for it. I was amazed; it runs really quickly, even faster than the original, which has a lot of proprietary code. The UI does not lag, despite many complaints about this Microsoft foundation.
According to the program’s interface, it includes a cleaner, a registry scanner, and a menu with extra utilities. The UI is organized into simple groups.
What We Clean:
- Browser cache and history (e.g., Microsoft Edge),
- multimedia program leftovers (e.g., VLC or Flash Player),
- system garbage from the .NET Framework and DirectX,
- telemetry and private data,
- and third-party application logs.
As far as I can tell, this guy isn’t aiming to salvage the business; he wants to create a tool that won’t irritate you. It worked out well for those who lacked sufficient utilities for maintaining their systems clean.
Among similar tools, I’d recommend BleachBit—completely open source and free—which cleans effectively and without excessive clutter. There’s also Wise Disk Cleaner, which is lightweight and fast, but they’re attempting to include a professional version.
