You need a backup, which is completely acceptable, but the sheer quantity of programs might be daunting. Experienced users usually know what they require; newbies may find it overwhelming. If you want a simple, easy-to-use application, I propose BackUp Maker – it appears to be extremely basic, but it hides a plethora of sophisticated functions beneath the hood.
Backup Maker can be downloaded for free using the links provided below. The archive includes both the installation file and the tablet, and a repack version is also available.
The app has an incredibly user-friendly interface. Assume you’ve opted to generate a backup. Click Backup, and the built-in wizard will walk you through the procedure. Everything is simple: choose files or folders, create a timetable, and choose where to save everything. To restore your data, choose the ZIP archive you made.
The scheduling menu is cool. You can schedule backups depending on time or system events.
There is an Expert Mode; additional information on it:
- You can create filters to include or exclude files based on their size and format.
- Define actions for correcting mistakes.
- Create full and partial incremental copies.
- Apply encryption to archives.
- You can schedule scripts to run or processes to terminate before and after a backup.
The application saves archives in conventional ZIP format. This is a big advantage since if the software crashes or you move the Backup to another machine, you can recover your files with any archiver, such as WinRAR or 7-Zip.
There are similar apps, such as Cobian Backup, which is a classic for setting up automatic file backups. Although it is free, its UI is outdated. Another solution, AOMEI Backupper, is significantly more contemporary and can make disk images as well as system clones.
