MiniMeters is a useful application for real-time PC audio monitoring. This allows you to monitor system audio, a separate input, or use the MiniMetersServer Plugin on the master channel of your DAW.
Software can handle it. MiniMeters is available for free download from our open-source website, linked below.
It consists of six modules, allowing you to tailor your system to your needs:
- Spectrogram shows frequency content with time, which is useful for timbre analysis.
- The waveform is a standard depiction of the incoming input.
- Peak/LUFS – Loudness Monitoring
- Stereometer has three modes for measuring the width and balance of a stereo image.
- Oscilloscope: comprehensive waveform in real time.
- Spectrum analyzer
The program’s interface is unique in its high level of customization. Modules can be arranged horizontally above the workspace, or they can be dragged into a separate window and arranged as desired.
It is also available for macOS and Linux, in addition to Windows.
The program is extremely lightweight, consumes almost no resources, and can be kept open indefinitely without interfering with your primary tasks.
