A new version of the widely used multimedia player, foobar2000, has been released. One of its creators, who formerly worked on the massive Winamp project, is now delighting us with this application. I do not recommend passing it up; everyone should check it out!

Peculiarities:

  • Excellent sound quality; it is no surprise that it is regarded as one of the top players in the world for audio playback.
  • The authors’ DNA is minimalist; the interface is devoid of extraneous elements. Everything is rigorous and straightforward, with no distracting aspects, frills, or bells and whistles.
  • Minimal resource usage, the player practically does not burden the system, and it may run and function normally on even the oldest PC.
  • The format support is excellent, including AAC, FLAC, SND, WMA, and others. If you choose to use plugins, you can play practically any audio format.
  • While we’re at it, plugins offer unlimited customisation options. You can easily add new formats and features, and customise the appearance.
  • There are a variety of settings that may be modified, from the UI to key combinations, including playback parameters.
