HY-Plugins HY-Slicer2 is a VST plugin for sample slicing that includes a step sequencer and an effects chain. How It Works:
- You import a sample, and the plugin divides it into segments of up to 32 pieces.
- Each section enters a step sequencer, where you can adjust several parameters. The fragment’s pitch, trigger probability, attack, gate length, and volume can all be specified, as well as whether it plays on or off, in reverse, or on which step.
- The prospect of triggering is a unique sensation. For example, if you set it to 50%, the fragment does not play every time; instead, the pattern comes to life and sounds different each time.
The eight simultaneous slicers are a crucial feature. You can import eight separate samples, slice them independently, and then assemble the fragments. There are five sampler tracks for layering sounds. A full-fledged rhythm section may be created without leaving the plugin with a single breakbeat and a couple of vocal loops.
There are two effect sections.
- Step FX are four multi-effects that are linked to sequencer steps, allowing each step to have a unique effect: a filter on one area, a delay on another, and distortion on a third. This creates movement and variety in the design.
- Master FX is the final processing, including EQ, compressor, and clipper, ensuring the output sound is tight without the need for other plugins.
