The application allows any user to configure and create copies of an unlimited number of files, or as many as they require.
Browse folders, choose files or directories, and then add them to the software. All nested files and folders will be created automatically. In the settings, you can exclude or add any items that interest you. This can be customised under the app’s filters. You can also define file selection criteria such as type, size, age, and other factors.

All of your produced file copies can be automatically compressed in GZIP format, or the structure can be displayed as a basic folder or mail file. Personal Backup supports both manual and automatic file backups, and it has a decent scheduler. When initiating a backup, the application checks whether the file has been updated. If so, it will replace it; otherwise, it will be forgotten because there is no benefit in doing so. You can schedule automatic backups based on the time of day or when the machine is shut down.
