SecureCRT and SecureFX are terminal clients and file managers that enable you to connect to and manage remote servers securely. If you manage Linux, UNIX, or VMS servers, you’ll need a reliable tool for connecting to and sharing files over encrypted protocols.

Features:
- SecureCRT is a terminal emulator that supports SSH, Telnet/TLS, and serial connections. It runs on a variety of operating systems. Its extensive terminal emulation lets you manage up to 1,000 sessions in tabs, clone them, and run several at once. Routine chores can be automated using scripts in VBScript, JScript, PerlScript, and other languages, and a built-in recorder will automatically record your actions.
- SecureFX is a sophisticated client for transferring files using a variety of protocols, including ordinary FTP. The software is reliable; if the connection is lost during the transfer, it will instantly reconnect and resume the download. Files can be dragged and dropped, and folders are synchronized using file type filters. The SFXCL command-line application automates file transfers without requiring human intervention, and a built-in task scheduler enables scheduled operations.
Both apps are tightly connected, exchanging sessions and settings, removing the need to retype passwords and create connections. PuTTY is a free and open-source application.
is offered as a comparable tool. It provides adequate SSH connections, but it is far from as strong as SecureCRT, which lacks tabs and native session management out of the box. For file transfers, WinSCP is a free and excellent SFTP client; however, SecureFX offers better automatic transfer recovery and terminal integration.
