You can keep a variety of notes, saved websites, phone numbers, emails, an address book, passwords, and documents—basically everything your imagination allows. While sitting at your computer, you can make a to-do list, leave notes, remember online pages you’ve visited, and even take screenshots as needed. If you choose to download the EverNote mobile app from the official website, you can take a picture of something, such as a schedule, cheat sheet, or price tag, and it will be saved directly in the application. You may also save voice files.
All of this information will be instantly synchronized with the company’s service. Of course, the free edition has limitations, such as ads, and syncing is not as powerful. You can store up to 60 megabytes of data, and the free edition gives you access to a full gigabyte. This is understandable—nobody would provide such functionality for free—but the free version is adequate for the average user.
Evernote offers a lovely, intuitive user interface. When you initially launch it, you’ll need to register, which took me precisely five seconds. It’s simple—enter your email address and password, and you’re good to go. After launching EverNote, I recommend exploring the settings and features to get a sense of what you’re dealing with.
In about 10 minutes, you’ll be able to gain your bearings and begin taking notes and collecting other data. You will always have access to them; log in to Evernote from another computer, and you will have everything you require. Of course, the program supports Russian, which makes it even more helpful.
